Visit to the USA, Frost Valley YMCA Camp
YMCA Spitak volunteers programs' coordinator Grish Bostanchyan was offered to work in a camp organized by Frost Valley YMCA, New York this summer. The wide range of skills and great experience obtained by Grisha in the camp will be very useful for both Spitak YMCA and Armenian National Union of YMCAs in their further work in the field of camping and developing camp leaders and camp programs.
A Visit to Poland
YMCA Spitak deputy director Alvard Mkrtchyan and Programs' assistant Haykuhi Karapetyan together with the Peace Corps volunteer in YMCA Spitak Judith Arvidson-Berg were invited to participate in a conference of Non-Governmental Initiatives of Poland on September 16-17 in the Warsaw University building.
Armenian National Union of YMCAs Moves to Spitak
Later on August 17-18 Armenian National Union of YMCAs held a meeting with representatives from all 5 local organizations in YMCA Spitak “Home for Future” Community center building connected with the leave of the CEO of Armenian National Union of YMCAs (ANU Y) Armen Bezhanyan. The agenda included also strategic planning for the coming years. Vince Corsaro, a consultant from the YMCA USA was facilitating the meeting. Vardan Hambardzumyan, European Alliance Regional Secretary was present at the meeting too.
